ABSTRACT
One of the natural wealth that
is still not fully utilized is
Averrhoa bilimbi L. (sour carambola). Averrhoa bilimbi L. (sour carambola) has the chemical content of alkaloids,
saponins and flavonoids
which has function as anti-hypertensive,
diabetic, gondokan, acne, arthritis, gums, toothache, whooping cough etc..
This study aims to determine the amount of vitamin C levels in syrup preparations
Averrhoa bilimbi L. (sour carambola) in
certain package that
meets the needs vitamin C consumption.
Fruit and flower of sour carambola can be
processed into innovative products
in form of syrup sour carambola. We conducted a poll to 20 respondents.
As many as 25% of respondents liked the Formula A1,
75% of respondents liked the formula
A2, 5% of
respondents liked the formula
A3. The population in this study were residents of SMK Farmasi Surabaya and research sample was 100 respondents.
The results of this study was to poll 100 people
showed that 84.67% of respondents liked the color, taste, and
fragrant the fruit in syrup sour carambola. In 300 ml syrup sour carambola contains 66.67 mg of vitamin
C in accordance with the requirement of vitamin C is 60 mg / day.
KESIMPULAN DAN SARAN
Kesimpulan
Berdasarkan penelitian
yang sudah dilakukan, diperoleh kesimpulan sebagai berikut :
1.
Buah dan bunga belimbing wuluh dapat diolah menjadi
produk inovatif berupa sirup belimbing wuluh.
2.
Dalam 300 ml sirup buah belimbing wuluh mengandung 66,67
mg vitamin C yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan vitamin C yaitu 60 mg / hari.
3.
Dari hasil polling kepada 100 orang responden menunjukkan
84,67% menyukai warna, rasa, dan bau dalam sirup buah belimbing wuluh
Saran
Perlu
dilakukan penelitian lebih lanjut tentang kadar vitamin C yang terkandung dalam
sirup belimbing wuluh.
